I live on a hill, technically a mountain, Cheesecote Mountain. Spring has just started here and things are coming in to flower and leaf.

Above is the view looking north, I'm not close to the back of my lot, it runs at least another 100 feet to the left, but it is so steep I can only get about 50 feet further. The view to the north will remain unobstructed. There are building lots below me, but they are so far down I can't see the houses, and the hills are part of Harriman State park, and a watershed.

This is a view to the south. On a clear day you can see Mahwah, NJ. There is a high tension line in the valley, and it is interesting to watch the helicopter inspect it as it flies below me down the hollow.

And that is view to the west from my deck. Except for the house on either side there is no sign of human habitation here.

That is north from the deck, the other north picture was out by the smoker and picnic table. That fence surrounds to pool and garden, with the wisteria on it the deer pretty much stay out of the pool area. We are still in spring clean up.

Our center island, we planted everything there since we moved in. The trees probably went in in 98

Now that is a picture of our house. When we say we had our house painted, we mean something different than most people do. And the reason the picture is crooked is that winds blow so hard at times the whole house shakes.
