Around the house
I live on a hill, technically a mountain, Cheesecote Mountain. Spring has just started here and things are coming in to flower and leaf.

This is a view to the south. On a clear day you can see Mahwah, NJ. There is a high tension line in the valley, and it is interesting to watch the helicopter inspect it as it flies below me down the hollow.

And that is view to the west from my deck. Except for the house on either side there is no sign of human habitation here.

That is north from the deck, the other north picture was out by the smoker and picnic table. That fence surrounds to pool and garden, with the wisteria on it the deer pretty much stay out of the pool area. We are still in spring clean up.

That is the smoker and picnic table.

A neighbors yard

First blooms for this tree.

Our center island, we planted everything there since we moved in. The trees probably went in in 98

Now that is a picture of our house. When we say we had our house painted, we mean something different than most people do. And the reason the picture is crooked is that winds blow so hard at times the whole house shakes.

You have so much space! What a lovely home ~ do so like the picture askew...
Hill or Mountian ~ I saw a movie once about this village built on a Mountain. They were very proud of that fact so much so that when a surveyor came out and deemed their mountain a hill (the result of past erosion etc) the entire town immediately set out to raise the level of the ground back to the status of a mountain. And you know what ... they did! The movie was based on fact. Sweet!

The village, with few exceptions, requires one acre lots or larger. We have about 3/4 acre of usable land and a 1/2 acre of land to steep for use. Much of the yard is garden and pool, but while the pool is open we aren't doing anything in the garden yet.
To cold and wet, frost last night.
